I was born and raised in Fort Payne, Alabama. I have resided in Hartselle,
Alabama since October of 2005 when I married Randy Dean, a Hartselle native. I have two wonderful
step-children; Jason Dean and Jonna Dean Barrier. Jason and his wife, Emily, will have a son, Owen, in
January of 2008. Jonna and her husband, Todd, have a beautiful daughter, Kenzie. I may be a newly wed, but
I also gained a fabulous family and extended family at the same time!
When Petite Sophisticate closed a few years ago, I found myself without a fashion source that could meet my |
needs as a
woman 5'3". In frustration I began to shop with all the usual department stores and catalog companies. I never could
find one source that could provide me with high quality business and casual clothes at an affordable price that also fit.
From this frustration, I decided to open a boutique that would focus on this need. I knew my petite "sisters" were
having all of the same problems. Nettie's Place, The Petite Boutique was born. I opened on Depot Day, September 15, 2007,
on Main Street in Hartselle.
The Boutique was open five days a week with private appointments available in the evening and on our closed days. I
also began participating in charity fashion shows and fund raising events. With the shopping flexibility I offered, it
was not enough.
We, as women, are so busy and time is so precious that we really don't have spare time to shop for ourselves! We are
busy working or taking care of everyone and everything else. I closed the "brick-n-mortar" Boutique in order to take
to the open road on a full-time basis. Nettie's Place, the Petite Boutique transformed into www.netties-place.net, The
Internet Boutique!
I can now offer the busy woman a peek at what Nettie's Place has to offer through this web site. Find something that
interests you, check the colors and sizes, and call or email me to schedule a private Trunk Show at your home, office,
church, favorite restaurant or other location!
I still specialize in petite fashions but also have fashions for the taller woman. I will also be able to expand the
collections offered. I still offer fashions, accessories and wholesale fine furs which are not available through other
retail venues. I still offer locally made jewelry created by ladies who reside in the Hartselle-Decatur area. The
antiques and some of the jewelry has been re-located to Fox and Robbins Antique Mall located on the corner of Main Street
and Sparkman Street in downtown historic Hartselle. I am still an Arbonne International Independent Consultant and provide
sampling and sales of products. As a FREE service, I can empower you to become a wholesale shopper or start your own
business to finance your dreams!
